JVA Club of the Month recognizes JVA clubs achieving more than just national championships and medals.The winning clubs go above and beyond to help grow and develop junior volleyball in their region. As an organization committed to the growth and development of junior volleyball, we value the commitment and achievement of our JVA member clubs. From January through June, a JVA member club is selected. This award is to recognize JVA member clubs for outstanding achievement in line with the JVA's mission and goals.

Eligibility: Any JVA member club staff, coach, or parent is eligible to nominate a club for the award. The club must be a current member of the JVA. There is no requirement on the number of teams or the number of years the club has been in existence.

Nomination Process: We are looking for clubs that have demonstrated (does not have to include all of the following, these are examples, not criteria)

Creative ideas in programming, marketing efforts, etc., growth in the number of teams and/or program participation this season
Growth by adding a new program, expansion into other cities and states throughout the country
Running programs for underserved populations (anything besides junior girls 11-18) – low income, boys, disabled, outdoor, adults, etc., Support of the mission of JVA by providing resources and education to junior programs, just to name a few.

Selection Process:

The JVA Awards Committee will review nominations and select one winning club each month. The winner will be notified prior to the official release. If your club is not selected, your nomination will carry over to the next month for another chance to win.

Recognition:

The COTM will receive a certificate, $50 off the club director's membership renewal, and 1 NCSA Athleadership Grant for a player of the Club's choice. Also, the COTM will be featured in an article in the JVA monthly edition of VolleyBiz, and recognition on JVA's website, FaceBook page and Twitter feed.

Coastal Virginia VBC is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year!
The club began in 1994 with 1 girls team, and added a boys team in 1998.
Today the club fields 12 girls travel teams and 10 boys teams.
CVVC just added a sand program this year for boys
18U-12U and girls 18U-12U.
CVVC is a member of AAU, USAV and JVA
