This award recognizes players from JVA supportive clubs for outstanding achievement on the volleyball court. As an organization committed to the growth and development of junior volleyball, we value the commitment and achievement of our JVA players. The Ultra Ankle® 2017 JVA All-National Team will be selected from the 2017 Ultra Ankle® JVA Watch List.
Players eligible for nomination are currently competing in age divisions 15U, 16U, 17U or 18U and graduating high school in 2017, 2018, 2019 or 2020..The nomination must be submitted by the Club Director from a JVA Member Club. The players nominated must be from the top two teams in the age division in the club.
Nomination Period: February 1- February 28, 2017
All players that meet the eligibility requirements will be selected for the Watch List.
The Ultra Ankle® JVA Watch List will be announced in March. Awardees will receive recognition in a press release that will be shared on the JVA website, JVA partner sites and social media outlets. Ultra Ankle JVA Watch List players will be eligible for the 2017 Ultra Ankle® JVA All-National Team, so we encourage Club Directors to be thorough.
Players named to the Ultra Ankle® JVA Watch List will also be included in the AVCA Phenom College Prep Program.
The AVCA Phenom College Prep Program is an invitation-only event for uncommitted seniors on the Under Armour Watch List and uncommitted underclassmen on the AVCA Phenom List. Participating student-athletes and their parents will attend the following: Educational sessions regarding recruiting and life as a college athlete, Under Armour All-America High School Volleyball Match, NCAA Final Four volleyball matches, Panels with AVCA Collegiate All-Americans and current college coaches, and Volleyball Performance Index (VPI) testing and Athlete Behavioral Profile (ABP) assessments. The athletes will also participate in a Talent Showcase during which they will demonstrate their skills in front of the 200+ college coaches in attendance. The event is designed to prepare and educate participants and their parents about playing volleyball at the collegiate level.
